Introducing the Gritty Jackson Dry Selvage Jeans by Nudie Jeans. These regular fit straight jeans are crafted with the incredible aging selvage Kaihara denim. It amazed us back in 2001 and continues to do so today. This is our legacy. The 13.75 Kaihara Dry Selvage is truly special to us. It ages beautifully and is the first selvage denim we ever used, making it one of the reasons Nudie Jeans exists. This particular denim caught the eye of one of our founders, Maria, and it`s no wonder why. It features a deep, undyed indigo warp, a vintage-inspired raw weft, compact construction, a dry touch, and a starched texture. But the best part is how it ages with wear. The warp is first dyed in a dark sulfur dye and then in indigo, resulting in the deep, muted indigo blue that looks stunning with our orange stitching. It`s also what gives the denim its intriguing hues as it ages. We call it a greenish denim, as it develops a slight greenish-blue tone with use. With years of wear and a few washes, the dark denim tone gradually lightens, and the greenish hue shifts towards a reddish-blue tone. This is why it`s so captivatingly beautiful and has remained in our collection since the beginning of Nudie Jeans in 2001. We are proud to offer the Gritty Jackson Dry Selvage.
